Carolina Skiing
The highest
Carolina mountain peaks average 60 inches of snow a year and expert
snow makers keep the powder fresh even when Mother Nature does not
cooperate. The Asheville area, at a lower elevation, stays relatively
snow-free for much of the season. This makes travel easy with little
or no snow on the ground. After a day on the slopes, visitors can
cozy up in a quaint coffee house, take in a play or just relax at
a romantic bed & breakfast.
